What is the pattern of IAS entrance exam? Is there negative marking?


sir m neha pls tell me i want to know the patten of I.A.S exam....and are there is a negative marking

IAS stands for Indian administrative service .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam so if you want to go for IAS exam , you can attend to CSAT exam.

Those candidate are completed graduation degree from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

The IAS selection process is consist in three way
  1. Preliminary exam
  2. Main exam
  3. Inter View.

To give the IAS Exam you need to be a graduate first in any discipline from a recognized university.

Your age should be between 21-30 years and there is age relaxation of upto 5 years for the SC/ST candidates and upto 3 years for the OBC candidates.

At the most you can attempt for four times. No negative marking is there so you will get the freedom to answer as many questions as you want.

Selection procedure includes preliminary exams, main examination followed by interview.
The preliminary exam is also called the CSAT Exam.

The eligibility criteria for IAS exam ......

*21-30 years as on 1.7.2012. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified ).

*Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification .

*Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs )

The exam pattern & optional subjects are as follows....



Yes, there is negative mark in IAS exam 0.25 will be deducted if you done one mistake .

Hai,


IAS(Indian Administrative Service) exam is conducted every year once and this exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).


Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be complete graduation or any equivalent degree from any recognised university.

Percentage not important to appear IAS exam.

Final year graduation persuing candidates can also be eligible.

You must be a Indian origin.


Age criteria:-


For General candidates--> 21years to 30years,

For OBC candidates--> 21years to 33years,

For SC/ST candidates--> 21years to 35years.



Number of attempts:-

4 times for General candidates,

7 times for OBC candidates,

No limits for SC/ST candidates.


Selection steps:-

Civil services examination,

Civil services main examination,

Personal interview.

A candidate who are aspiring to Become an IAS officer have to apply for Civil Service Examination Conducted by UPSC every Year......

For That a candidate must have completed their Graduation Degree from Recognized Universities in any Discipline.......

Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years, Age Relaxation is available for Reserved category.....

A General candidate can apply maximum 4 times, An OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 times and there is no attempt limit for SC/ST Candidate.....

Exam Pattern:

  1. Prelim Exam
  2. Main Exam
  3. Personal Interview

Dear aspirant,

-If you have passed Graduation in any discipline then you are eligible for IAS examination.

-But you must be under the age limit to apply for IAS exam.

-The age limit is 21 to 30 years for general category.

-Age relaxation is available for SC/ST ( 5 years) and OBC( 3 years).

-The number of attempts are limit for General and OBC. For General category it is 4 attempts and for OBC category it is 7 attempts.

-For SC/ST there is no limit in attempts.

-You have to pass CSAT( civil services aptitude test) to be eligible for IAS mains exam.

-CSAT has 2 paper of 200 marks each . Both papers are of 2 hours duration .

-IAS mains examination will decide whether you will be selected or not. Interview also comes under IAS mains exam.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service

Aspirants, first crack for Civil Examination this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission

Eligibility Criteria for civil Examination

Candidates must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university , final year students also eligible for this examination, there is no percentage required for this examination

Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates, 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates, 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates

IAS Exam Pattern :

Paper I : One of the Indian Language t be selected by Candidates : 300 Marks
Paper II : English : 300 Marks
Paper III : Essay : 200 Marks
Papers IV & V : General Studies : 300*2 = 600 Marks
Papers VI , VII , VIII & IX : Any two Subjects : 300 * 4 = 1200 Marks

Total Marks : 2000 Marks

Interview Test : 300 Marks

Grand Total : 2300 Marks

INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE (IAS)

You are interested in IAS examination, you want to serve the nation, which I appreciated . IAS examination is the civil service examination, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year.
Through this civil service examination, you can apply for the Indian administrative & police services.
In order to become a IAS officer, you must have to crack the civil service examinations .
This civil service examination has three stages to be clear -

CSAT exam pattern-



Educational qualification-

Age limit-

A candidate must be in age limit of 21-30 years,.
21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates,.

MAINS EXAM PATTERN-



No of attempts--

Four for the GENERAL candidate,
