i want to know about the changing pattern of net for entrance exam. Is there is any changes exam pattern. What is the passing marks for get the certificate of net.

I completd Masters in commerce and want to give NET for lecturership so can you guide me with the syallubus of NET for commerce background..........

Yes, NET Examination pattern is changes now and it is applicable form this June Examination Onward's.

From this year all 3 papers of NET is Objective and no Descriptive papers in this examination. No Negative marking in NET.

The Notification of this year June NET Examination was already Published and the last date of apply for this examination online is 30/April/2012.

The examination is Conducted soon on 26/June/2012.

NET Exam Pattern :

~~ Paper I : 100 Marks, In this paper you will get 60 Questions out of which 50 question to be attempted---Duration : 1¼ Hours.

~~ Paper II : 100 Marks, In this paper you will get 50 questions all are compulsory---Duration : 1¼ Hours

~~ Paper III : 150 Marks, In this paper you will get 75 questions all are compulsory-----Duration 2½ Hours.

If you are General candidates, then you have to scored 40% Marks in Paper I and Paper II and 50% Marks in Paper III, Only then you will be able to cracked NET Examination.

Pattern of net exam;
It consists 3 paper
Paper 1<< this paper contain 60 question in which you can attempt 50 question.
Paper 2<<
This paper consists 50 ques.
All question are necessary.
Paper 3<< this paper consitsts 75 question.
All question are neccssary.
Time limit for exam;
Paper time limit
1 75 minute
2 75 minute
3 150 minute
Passing marks for this exam

To crack this examination,

NET (National Eligibility Test) 2012 details are given below:

Eligibility criteria: The candidates must have Master's Degree with 55% aggregate or 50% for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates.

Or Those candidates are appearing in the final years Master's Degree or waiting for the results can also apply but there admissions will be provisionally till they not submit there final years Master's Degree pass certificate to the department.

Application Process : You can apply on only through online. For this you have to download the bank challan from the website of the http://ugcnetonline.in or download the attched challan and after filling all the details submit it to the banks with required amount.

Fees details : GEN- Rs. 450/-
OBC - Rs.225/-
SC/ST/PH/VH- Rs. 110/-

Exam Pattern of NET 2012: The UGC conduct the NET exam in objective papers only with two modes which are given below:

Section - I (In which section two papers will be done Paper I and II)
Paper I - 100 Marks - 60 out of which 50 question to be attempted-1¼ Hours
Paper II- 100 Marks - 50 questions all are compulsory - 1¼ Hours

Section -II
Paper III- 150 Marks - 75 questions all are compulsory - 2½ Hours

Details of Exams (Paper I,II and III)

Paper I: It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Each answers carry 2 Marks.

Paper II: It is related to subject choose. Each answers have 2 marks.

Paper III: It is also objective type and related to the subject selected. Each answers have 2 marks.

Paper I :
No of Questions : 60 out of 50 questions are to be attempted
each one carrying two marks (50*2=100) total 100 marks
Duration of Time : 11/4hrs (9.30 A.M to 10.45 A.M )

Paper II :
No of Questions : 50 questions all of which are compulsory
Each one carrying to two marks (50*2=100) total 100 marks
Duration of Time : 11/4 hrs (10.45 A.M to 12.00 A.M )

Paper III :
No of Questions : 75 questions all of which are compulsory
Each one carrying to two marks (75*2=150) total 150 marks
Duration of Time :21/2 hrs (1.30 P.M to 4.00 P.M )

as per old pattern we have to secure 50 percent jointly for paper -I and paper -II ... Is this rule is still apply or nt??? Plz let me now the exact form as em rly confused :(

The NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. This Test is conducted twice every year by the University Grants Commission.

The NET Exam is conducted every year in the months of June and December.

The Exam is a national level exam conducted every year for the selection of candidates for the posts mentioned below :

* Lectureship

* Junior Research Fellowship

The Pattern of the NET Exam is :



The Essential Requisites for the NET exam are :

** You must hold a Master`s Degree in any discipline from any recognized university.

** You Must not have any active pending backlog.

** You must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Post Graduation.

** You can also apply if you are in final year of PG.

** The Age Limit criteria applies only for the post of JRF and there is no age limit for the post of Lectureship.

** For JRF , the age of the candidate must lie in between 20-28 years if the candidate belongs to general category.

** OBC Candidates get 3 years relaxation in upper age.

** SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation in upper age.

** The Candidate must be an Indian.

** Both male and Female candidates can give the NET Exam.

** There is no any specific number of attempts for the exam.
