What is the qualification needed for arts and commerce students to join Indian army as soldier?

With graduation, you can join Indian Army as a soldier. For this, you have to clear the exams conducted by UPSC. UPSC conducts exams such as IMA and OTA for army recruitment. Apart from this, candidates can apply for combined defence service exam to get a direct entry. The minimum age limit is 19 years. Candidates who are not exceeding 24 years are eligible to apply.

You want to join the Indian army, which is very appreciable.But I would like to inform you, you are only eligible for the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
In order to become an Army officer, you must have to apply for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE SERVICES) exam, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year for twice.
Through this exam, one can apply for all the combatant branches of the Indian army, named as,.
1. INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF),
2. INDIAN NAVY
3. INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA)


The educational requirement for appear in this examination, is a 12th degree..
Also, if you want to apply for the Indian navy & air force, you must have subjects Physics & maths in 12th with atleast 60%. otherwise you can only apply for the Indian military academy (IMA ).

As you are from the Arts Or commerce branch , so you can only apply for the Indian military academy (IMA).

The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years .

Remind that there is not any kind of age limit relaxation is applicable for any reserved category.
