Hello friend.
Depends on your university. There would be advanced course in specific disciplines, i.e. ornithology or limnology. If you want to hang around to decide on your PhD, they might allow you to take research hours. Whatever, they usually don't allow a student to stay unless they are enrolled in a program. Thanks. |

you could specialise in the genetic and microbiological research areas of zoology.
Also you can do Ph.D in your area of interest. CSIR laboratory also offered some Ph.D programmes. |
