hi...im vidya..have done masters in physics Please tell me, what is the scope of phd in india?

This Manasa here, good to know that you are planning to do PhD. According to me selecting and option in doing PhD in India or other countries mainly depends on 1) Where you are planning to settle down after your PhD. 2) Which stream you are planning to settle (teaching profession, Researcher etc). 3) The other major difference of doing PhD in India to USA is, in India you will have theoretical experience where as in USA you even get more practical experience compared to India which helps to enhance you more. Now its finally you can select the best option.

Hi vidya! u can try for spintronics to do the research , it will have a lrge scope in the coming years.

In India, the lot of scope for Phd. is there.

The best after that you will allways remain in touch with reasearch development. After PhD you can join education sector like colleges, Univ. & in public reasearch org. like DRDO, BHEL, ISRO etc.

The important thing is it give you higher level of self-confidence & status.

you have lots of scope after doing phd,if you want to be in teaching line then after doing phd you can apply for directors,or for HOD post in any science college or if you wanna go for govt. job then you have many options like ISRO,DRDO,CSIR,Reasearchers job,scientist job....so go for phd and decide you area for work

well in India it is better to do phd only if you want to settle in teaching profession.

All postgraduates mainly Phd's have great future in India, since India now focusing on many space related work as u know about Chandrayaan-1 project , even in 2010 budject they alloted more funds for space research. in that you have great future in India with ur phd in physics

The best thing i like about jobs after PHD is the peace they get in their life which is difficult to have in private jobs. Be it the timings, the pressure, or the holidays..
So PHD from india PDF from abroad is a great option to have a peacefull life ahead.

It's a very good thought to do phd. But it will be helpful to you if you do Mphil first & then phd. It is always good to do it in India.
