Sure being Commerce student you are eligible to become an IPS Officer. IPS:- Indian Police Service To become an IPS Officer you have to appear in UPSC Civil Service Examination. UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission This Exam is held once in a year generally in the month of May. Basic Eligibility criteria for Civil Service Exam: >You should have completed Bachelor degree course in any discipline from recognized university. >Candidate appear in final exam of above such program are also eligible to appear in this exam. >Your Age should be in between 21 to 30 years(for BC 21 to 33years & for Sc/st 21 to 35years). >You must have an Indian Citizenship. Both Male & Female candidates are eligible for IPS Exam. Yes,you are eligible for IPS exam this exam is conducted by the UPSC once a year.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS EXAM: 1.Graduate students are applicable. 2.Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 3.candidate should be a citizen of india. 4.3years age relaxation for OBC candidates. 5.5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Graduate from any stream is eligible for IPS.
IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to apply and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. Apart from this there is certain Physical requirement for those applying for IPS. HEIGHT:- For General Male-165cm and Female-150cm For SC/ST male-160cm and Female-145cm CHEST:- For Male-85cm and for Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases. IPS(INDIAN POLICE SERVICE) IPS EXAM ELIGBILTY Age requirement: Your Age should be in between 21 to 30 years(for BC 21 to 33years & for Sc/st 21 to 35years). Educational qualification: The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Candidate who have completed their M.B.B.S., but not have completed the required internship during the time of submission of the application to the main examination will be provisionally admitted for the main examination. Physical qualification for IPS: Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. The physical standards are essential for IPS, which includes weekly run for 10kms in 60 minutes, rope climbing, horse riding, PT obstacles, etc… thanks |
