What should be the minimum score in Master's to be eligible for PhD?


Hi, I got a 49.16% in M.Com. Am I eligible for PhD? In which category shall I do PhD? Which subject area would be good? And, is there any entrance for PhD?

For Ph.D admission, Most institutes demand at least 55% marks in aggregate in master degree. So, It's tough to get admission in reputed institute. There are various disciplines available in commerce stream for Ph.D, but you should select the discipline in which you have more interest and best for your career goals. NET (National Eligibility Test) is the national level entrance examination for Ph.D admission.

Ph.D Eligibility
- You must have passed Master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- You need to qualify entrance exam NET or institute level entrance exam for admission.
