Re: English Medium vs Hindi Medium in Civil Services Examination?
Yes english is a bit easy than hindi. So there are more chances for english candidate. On the other hand hindi is a bit lengthy and prone to mistakes. So in my opinion u should try in english. But if u r confident on ur hindi then go for it. Good luck

Re: English Medium vs Hindi Medium in Civil Services Examination?
The civil service exam can be written in any one of the Indian Languages which is stated in the 8th Schedule of the constitution. Even though the question paper either in English or Hindi only. If a candidate is writing the exam in the regional language he/she can also appear the interview in the same language with an option in English also but not vice versa.

Re: English Medium vs Hindi Medium in Civil Services Examination?
Hi,
This come out to be somewhat true. As english has wide scope everywhere, so it is the preferred language. Also Civil Services Exams allow Hindi but it is quite difficult to get through the exam and interview on the basis of Hindi. Also hindi requires more stress on hand writing and it is time consuming. |

Re: English Medium vs Hindi Medium in Civil Services Examination?
Hindi is our national language, but today all the education is powered by the English language.
Today all the technical exams and courses are come in English . this is the time of English language. Hindi is also a tough language, however students are feared from the English, but if you see the grammar of Hindi then it is harder in comparison to the English. so according to me English is best for the civil examination. |

Re: English Medium vs Hindi Medium in Civil Services Examination?
dear friend
first of all it's depend on your passion for English. if you have then your problem will reduce within 3-4 months.for improving your English....... 1. must attend any English class 2. daily read English news paper and write those word which you don't know and find them in dictionary. yes there are many coaching for IAS/IPS in Delhi but merely attending coaching you can not manifest your dream. if you are passionate for IAS/IPS then you will have to do labour hard. all the best...... |

Study materials and old question papers available are mainly targeted towards people writing the exams in English than Hindi, Many coaching institutes are teaching only through english medium. These are all contributing very highly towards the success of MEMBERS who written their exams using English. |
