What is the standard age criteria for female candidate to appear for 10th CBSE Board exams?

My son DOB (16/1/2013), now he's studying in 2nd standard in CBSE affiliated school. Will it create any problem when he attends her CBSE exam in 10th standard? Also if she wants to change school will they accept to join?

CBSE has not declared any official notification regarding the minimum or maximum age limit criteria to appear for the board examination.

The age criteria is determined by the Directorate of State Education department to appear for examination which varies with state. So, visit the concerned office for the detail information.

As per the current rules, the minimum age required for appearing in CBSE Class 10th board examination is 14 years as on the 1st October of that year in which the candidate got admitted to his/her Class 10th.

Now, being born on 16.01.2013 and studying in Class 2nd, your son is likely to get admitted to his Class 10th in 2027 and therefore he is eligible for appearing in the CBSE board examination without any issue regarding his age as his age will be over 14 years as on 01.10.2027.

The minimum age to appear in the 10th board exam is 14 years , as of 31st december of the year of examination .

However , there is no upper limit of age to appear in the exam.

But there is maximum number of attempts to appear in the examination. A candidate can at most attempt 3 times for CBSE board exam.
