Standard age limit for appearing in 10th standard CBSE Board exams?

One of my student whose date of birth is 8th May, 2006 is presently studying in 9th standard. Is he eligible to write Board exams under CBSE Board's curriculum? Can we do registration for him?

As per the current norm, the minimum age of candidate for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which the candidate got admitted to his/her Class 10th.

So, being born om 08.05.2006 and currently studying in Class 9th, your student is certainly eligible for CBSE Class 10th 2021 examination registration as his age will be above 14 years by the 01.10.2020.

For more details and FAQs associated with CBSE board examination, you can refer to the link www.cbse.nic.in.

CBSE has not declared any minimum age limit criteria to appear for the 10th board examination.

It is the Directorate of State Education department which determines the age limit for appearing in the board examination for candidate of the concerned state.

So, you can visit the concerned office or department for the detail information.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
