Sir/Mam,
What is the steps to follow to become an IAS officer in future? What is the eligibility criteria required to apply for IAS? Can you please guide me in this? It will be helpful if you can provide me the details. Awaiting to get the response soon. Thank you! |

The minimum qualification required to become IAS officer is graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks for general categories and 45% in case of reserved categories from a recognised University. After graduation you have to appear in the Civil Services Exam that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. Once you qualify the Preliminary Exam you have to appear in JEE Mains Exam and then in Personal Interview.
Hence this is the basic eligibility criteria you required. |

The steps which has to be followed to become an IAS officer in future is first possess graduation degree in any discipline of your interest and then appear for UPSC Civil Services Exam and qualify in all the stages of selection process.
Eligibility criteria required to appear for civil services exam :- Nationality : Indian. Academic Qualification : Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Age criteria : General category :21 years to 32 years . OBC candidates : 21 years to 35 years . SC/ST candidates : 21 years to 37 years . PWD candidates :21 years to 42 years . Selection process : *Preliminary Exam *Main exam *Personality Interview. |

To become an I.A.S Officer the candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Services examination conducted by the UPSC.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is that the candidates must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. The candidates have to appear and qualify in all the three stages of the examination for the final selection. - You must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. - Your age should be between 21 to 32 years of the examination year. - Maximum attempts allowed are 3 for UR, 6 for OBC & No limits for SC/ST.
