JNU Entrance Exam Syllabus for M.A Economics---


A- (i) Micro-economics (Demand Curves, Price and Income Elasticity of Demand, Cost Curves, Equilibrium of Firm under Perfect Competition and Monopoly)

(ii) Macro-economics (National Income Theory of Income Determination,
Monetary Policy, Trade and Balance of Payments)

B- Descriptive Statistics (Mean, Median and Mode, Standard Deviation,
Correlation Coefficient), Elementary Probability Theory, Mathematics for
Economists (Elementary Algebra,Coordinate Geometry and Elementary Calculus)

C- Problems of Economic History, Underdevelopment and Growth-
(i) India's Economic Development prior to Independence- India's Planning and
Development experience since Independence; Basic indicators of Development.
(ii) International Economics Issues of Contemporary Relevance.

I didnt have maths and statistics as my subsidiary paper so am i eligible for giving M.A entrance or not

I have to appear for masters in eco entrances this year. I have studied eco at an undergraduate level. Is coaching necessary?
Also, if I self study, how do i go about it?

Unfortunately not. Maths or stats is important not only for eligibility but also further in course

I am a student of 11th and I know that what is the syallbus of gradution in economic.

That's not true. There are 2 papers, one is M A economics(with specialisation in world economy) and another is MA in economics(216). So in later paper every graduate with 50%marks can give paper
