What is the syllabus of VAO?


sir,i want to write vao exam, i dont know clearly about the syllabus of vao so please send me exact syllabus for it and my selected language is tamil.

VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

~~Tamilnadu Public Service Commission conducts an examination to recruit the Village Administrative Officers. Some seats are reserved for women, ex-servicemen. For the rest of the seats all category candidates can apply.

~~To give this exam you need a secondary school leaving certificate. In short you need to be a 10th pass out. Candidates with higher qualifications still needs to show the SSLC certificate.

~~Your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years.

~~For the reserved category candidates the upper age limit is 40 years.

~~You need to be well versed in Tamil language because you will be posted in the villages of Tamilandu.

~~You have to sit for the Tamil exam if you do not know the language. The exam is conducted by TNPSC.

~~It is expected that only physically fit candidates will sit for the exam. Therefore to prove your medical fitness you need to show the authorities concerned medical certificates during exam time.

Exam Pattern:-

As you must be knowing that the questions will be of SSLC standard. While the first paper is compulsory, the second paper is optional. The papers are generally set in both English and Tamil. 300 marks have been allotted for the exam and you need to get 90 marks to qualify.

1. General Knowledge-150 marks
2. General Tamil/General English-150 marks

Dear Kaya,

The acronym for VAO is Village Administrative Officers.

Village Administrative Officer is an examination, conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

VAO examination is conducted almost every year to select village administrative officers for Tamil nadu Villages.

The eligibility criteria required for the VAO examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 10th from any recognized board.

* Age limit:- 18-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation:- 40 yrs for reserved category contenders.

* Contenders must have known Tamil language.

* Nationality:- Indian.

VAO examination syllabus:-

* General Tamil.

* General English.

* General Knowledge.
