Candidates who have passed SSLC examination can apply for the post of Village Administrative Officer. Recruitment to the post is carried out on the basis of common examination conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. Candidates between the age group of 21 years and 30 years are eligible to apply. The examination fees is Rs. 125/-. Questions will be asked from the topics such as General knowledge, General English as General Tamil. Medium of instruction will be in English as well as in Tamil. The examination is conducted in various centres across Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria for Village Administrative Officer

Candidates should complete minimum 21 years at the time of application. Upper age limit is 30 years. Maximum age limit for candidates belonging to reserved category is 40 years. Minimum educational qualification for the post is a pass in matriculation. Candidates should have good knowledge in Tamil. Candidates need to be physically fit.

Application procedure for Village Administrative Officer

Candidates seeking employment as village administrative officer are required to apply for the examination conducted by the state public service commission. Candidates can apply for the exam through the official website of the public service commission. They should apply for the exam within the stipulated time. Candidates will have to upload their scanned photographs and signature. They should have a valid e mail id as well.

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 125/- as examination fee. Relaxation in fees can be availed by candidates belonging to the reserved category as per the norms of the state government. Examination fees can be paid offline as well as online. Candidates who want to make offline payment can download the payment challan after the successful submission of online application. Candidates can make payment with the downloaded challan in nearest post office or in any branches of Indian Bank. A print out of application must be kept for future reference.

Exam pattern

The duration of the written test is three hours. There will be a total of two hundred questions. Candidates can expect questions from topics such as General Knowledge, General Tamil and General English. Questions will be from topics at SSLC level. Maximum marks allotted for the exam is three hundred. Out of this, candidates have to score a minimum of 90 marks to qualify. Questions from general knowledge will be asked in Tamil as well as English language. Questions on general Tamil and general English will be in respective languages.
