To crack iit-jee and Aieee one needs to solve a large number of problems.Basically, the questions asked in iit-jee paper are of high standard,so you have to be thorough in all the basic concepts in maths, physics and chemistry.to have good understanding of the concepts and to solve good quality of problems you can refer some of the following books:

PHYSICS :-

MECHANICS
Physics by H.C. Verma
Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov
Resnick and Halliday

ELECRICITY AND MAGNETISM
Resnick and HallidayCircuits devices and systems by R.J. Smith
Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov

OPTICS
Physics by H.C. Verma

MODERN PHYSICS
Physics by H.C. Verma
Problems in Physics by I.E. Irodov

HEAT AND WAVES
Physics by H.C. Verma
Resnick and Halliday

CHEMISTRY:-

ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
Morrison & Boyd
Solutions to Morrison Boyd
Reaction mechanism in Organic Chemistry by Parmar Chawla

INORGANIC CHEMISTRY
NCERT Inorganic Chemistry
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J.D. Lee
IIT Chemistry by O.P. Aggarwal

GENERAL CHEMISTRY
J.D. Lee
O.P. Aggarwal
R.C.Mukerjee

Maths :-
ALGEBRA
High school mathematics by Hall and Knight
IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna

CALCULUS AND ANALYTIC GEOMETRY
G.N.Berman

Calculus and analytic geometry by Thomas and Finney
Coordinate geometry by Loney
IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna
I.A.Maron
VECTORS
IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna

Apart from the above books, you have to be thorough with all the ncert text books, they will help you a lot.

Best of luck

Since, IIT-JEE and AIEEE are very tough exams in Engineering Entrance exams so they demand very strong preparation from candidate side.

Every year, nearly 10 lakh students give AIEEE exam and near about 25000 get seats in NITs and IIITs. While in case of IIT-JEE 5 lakhs students apply for it and nearly 9000 get seats in IITs.

Your preparation should be very strong to crack these exams.
You should lay emphasis on following points which may be helpful for you:
  • Build Strong Concepts.
  • Time Management to give equal time to subjects.
  • Punctuality in studies.
  • Tricks and Shortcuts to solve large numerical questions.
  • Good Reference Books.

Here, I am mentioning some books that may be helpful for you if you go through them:
