You are not eligible to appear for the UPSC examination in 2020.

The required eligibility is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit is 21-32 years as on 01st August of year of appearing for examination.

The examination is conducted in three stages. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

The first thing I would like to let you know is that officially the IAS examination is known as the Civil Services examination which is held by UPSC once every year for recruitment of administrative officers such as IAS, IPS, IFS, etc..

Further, the age limit to apply for the Civil Services examination 2020 is 21 years to 32 years as on 01.08.2020 for general category candidates. Age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category as per the government norms.

So, being born on 02.02.1988 and belonging to general category, you are not eligible to apply for Civil Services examination 2020 as your age will be over 32 years as on 01.08.2020.

For more details regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.

The age limit for Civil Services examination for general category candidate is 21-32 years calculated on 1st August of year of exam. There is upper age relaxation of three years for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates.

You will attain age of 32 years on 2nd February 2020 much before 1st August 2020 which is age calculating date. If you are from open category then you are not eligible. If you are from reserved category then you can apply for the exam.
