Well if you want to continue your study in that year you need to clear all the examination under stipulated year. If you will clear the supplementary examination then only you will be eligible to sit for the next semester examination. So, it is important that you have to pass the supplementary examination which is held in a year after the announcement of result.

Since, you are a student of 2012-2013 batch and there has been a long gap. Unfortunately, you cannot apply for supplementary examination because the maximum time to give the supplementary exam is within that year of study only. That means you should have sat for your supplementary exam in the year 2012-2013 only. Right now, you are not eligible for the supplementary exam under Calcutta University.
