What is the validity of OBC non-creamy layer certificate in Kerala? Till when I can use it? Will it go invalid if I am taking some study gap? Can someone please guide me with the right details on this? Awaiting for the response. Thank you!

The validity of OBC certificate is one year. It is based on annual income of parents of any candidate. Depending upon income level, OBC candidates are classified into OBC creamy and OBC non creamy.

The present limit is 8 lacs per annum for division. Those whose parents income is less than 8 lacs per annum are under non creamy layer and eligible for reservation benefits. You need to get your new OBC certificate if you want to get reservation benefits in jobs or entrance exams.

Whether the income of applicant will be considered or only parent's income is considered for providing the NCL certificate

Validity of OBC Non Creamy layer certificate is always one year.
It is same in all states of India.
So in Kerala also it is one year

You have to request for a new certificate after giving income proof of your parents.

Income upto 8 lakhs per annum can be issued OBC Non Creamy layer certificate.

I have annual income above 8 lakhs in salary and no other income, but I am in Group C employee , may I get NCL
