Re: What will be my JEE rank if I score 180 marks?
Dear your question is incomplete......!
You haven't mentioned the name of Joint Entrance. There are several kind of Joint Entrance exams these days. Even the state engineering entrance exams are known as joint entrance exams. However, I can guess if you are talking about IITJEE, because on IITJEE was conducted on 10th of April, and you had asked for this right on 11th. Well if so then let me tell you that last year in IITJEE 2010 minimum cutoff was 190 for Common Merit List, whereas 171 for OBC, 95 for SC/ST and 73 for PD candidates. So, naturally this year for IITJEE 2011 cutoffs will be greater then that. However, the expected cutoff for 2011 are 190-200. So, if you are getting 180, you can not expect yourself in Common Merit List Ranking. Chances are there for you in EML's. And you can expect your rank near about 8000-9000. Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

I think your rank will be from 10000 to 14000. I don't think you will be able to get a seat unless you are from reserved category. |

Re: What will be my JEE rank if I score 180 marks?
This year the total marks of paper1 paper2 together in IITJEE was 408 and the cutoff for general category was 148. Since you have scored 180 which is greater than the cutoff marks, your name will be there in the cutoff list. You should feel proud of yourself as you have done a great job since everybody knows what it takes to crack IITJEE.
Now there are many students this year who scored more than 200. which means there rank will be lower than yours. As far as your marks are concerned, your rakn will lie in the 5000-7000 range, which is definitely not bad. Though your chances of getting the older IITs are not fully obvious but you can definitely get a good seat in the newer IITs. Best of luck !!! |
