APSET stands for Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test and this exam is conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad. This exam is mainly conducted for appointment of Lecturers and Assistant professors. The validity of the APSET certificate is forever.

To give this examination you need to have a post graduation degree in related subjects. Along with that you need to have at least 55% of marks at post graduation level. Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Physically Challenged (PH)/VH category candidates should have minimum 50% of marks at PG level.

If you already have a PhD degree then a relaxation of five percentage will be given to you. This exam can also be given by final year candidates who are about to appear for their final year exam and is awaiting the result of their exam. In this exam provisional admission will be granted to you. There is no upper age limit for this examination.

The registration process of this exam is entirely conducted online. Firstly you have to open their official website and upload your passport sized photograph and signature. Then you have to carefully enter the details before the submission of your online registration form. On doing so you will get a challan which has to be printed out and then with the help of challan you have to pay the fee in any State Bank of Hyderabad.

Unfortunately this year's SLET exam got conducted in the month of January and if you have not applied for this year's exam then you have to try next year.
