how to know more about nda?when can forms be available for girls?

About NDA:

NDA exam is coducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the Course and Naval Academy for the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The candidates joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B Tech Course and would also be given an opportunity to join Technical Branch of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be almost 350. Forms can be obtained at nearest head post office by the payment of Rs.20

Since you are a female candidate , so you are not eligible to sit in the exam because only unmarried male candidates are allowed.

NDA IS GIVEN TWICE IN A YEAR but if you are a girl you are not eligible for NDA exam but don't loose hope there are still lots of entries are there like UES WOMENS ENTRY AND TGC ENTRY after graduation. in which you can apply for it.

See girls are not eligible for appearing in NDA exam.The forms can be taken from the head post offices or also from stationaory shop as they also keep it but they will charge you more some Rs.20 extra.

The exam of NDA is conducted twice in a year which is known as NDA I & NDA II.

The exam NDA I is conducted in the month of april, so application form submit in the month of december-january.

& The exam of NDA II is conducted in the month of August, so application issue in the month of May-June.

UPSC will conduct the NDA & NAE (1)2011 examination on 17 april 2011 for admission to army, navy and air force wings. Candidates can apply online as well as well offline till 15 november 2010. They can purchased application form from the designated HPOs/POs throughout the country against cash payment of Rs 20. Only unmarried MALE candidates are eligible for this examination.

But i am sorry to inform you female candidates are not allowed to write NDA exams.

Are we going to sumit the form or we are going to write an exam

The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year.

However, there is no arrangement for the exam to be conducted for the female candidates.


Female candidates are not eligible to sit for the NDA exam.

The NDA exam can be given only by the unmarried male candidates between the age of

16.5-19 years.


However, dont loose heart.

You can still join the defence forces by appearing for the CDSE exam conducted by the UPSC.

You can give the CDSE exam after completion of your graduation.

If you qualify in the exam, you are eligible to join the Officer's Training Institute and can

join the defence forces as an officer of the Short Service Commission(SSC).

Application forms are available in two ways.

The Application forms are available in various designated post offices throughout

Last date for receipt of Application : 09.05.11

Age limit : 16 1/2 To 19 Yrs.

NDA 2 forms are available in your local post office.you can find that but for 2011 the last date of submission application form was 9-5-2011

and the examination date is :- 21-8-2011


so you have to wait till October for next years NDA 1 entrance.Good Luck....

If you have not applied for the application form available on the month of April so now you have to wait till october for the NDA 1 2012 Exams. As NDA 2 2011 exam is on 21st of this month for which you have not applied , I hope you will better be quick next time.Good luck with that....

apply offline using the form supplied with the information Brochure purchased from any of the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices listed in Appendix III. Form should be purchased from designated post offices only and not from any other agency. Candidates must use the form supplied with the Information Brochure only and they should in no case use photocopy/reproduction/unauthorized printed copy of the Form. The form will NOT be supplied by the Commission’s office.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC for the admission of students passing class 12th board and want to join Indian Army, Navy or Air Force.

You can buy NDA form from UPSC or you can by it from some ordinary stationary shop who sells it.

Just after completing high school examination, Indian army entrance scheme is NDA(National Defence Academy), but the exam is only for male cadets.

Don't worry during graduation you will have the oppurtunities to get in Indian air force via three schemes

UES-University Entry Scheme
SSC-Short Service Commission
CDS-Combined Defence Service

Generally there are three branches in air force:

Flying branch
Technical branch
Ground duty branch

For flying branch -CDS exam ,NCC special entry ssc(only for 14 year /Maths backround)
