From where and how can we pursue PhD programme in Nutrition?


Hi, I am Sultana-e-Monjerina, completed my M.Sc in Food and Nutritional Science with first class. I didn't do M.Phil but have a publication another research work is going on. I wanna do my PhD in Nutrition. Please let me what is the procedure, duration, fees and other requirements? Thank you.

You are eligible to apply for the course Ph.D (Food and Nutrition) after completion of your M.Sc (Food and Nutrition Science). Ph.D (Food and Nutrition) is 2 year doctoral course. Admission will be based on entrance exam.

Eligibility
- You must have passed Master's degree with at least 55% in engineering including biotech, core science, psychology, economics, media, english, physiotherapy, commerce, management from a recognized university.
- Most institutes offer admission based on entrance exam.

- Amity University, Uttar Pradesh
- Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan
- Era University, Uttar Pradesh
- Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Haryana
- College of Home Science, Bikaner
- IGNOU, New Delhi
- Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur
- Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal
- PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore
- Punjab Agricultural University, Lucknow
- Viharilal College for Home and Social Science, Kolkata

Fee Structure
It varies from institute to institute and depends on type of institute, it's infrastructure and it's reputation. The average course fee charged between Rs.50,000/- to Rs.2,00,000/- per year. In IGNOU, The course fees for Ph.D (Food and Nutrition) is Rs.7000/- per year.
