Whether Demand Draft is needed for online GATE application or not? If yes, how this DD should be made?

Hi,

Please find out the details below:
1. Demand draft should be payable at Kanpur in the name of "Chairman GATE, IIT Kanpur".
2. Please obtain this prior to start of the online filing of the application. Details of the demand draft shall have to be entered on the application form during the online filling process.
3. The demand draft should be issued by the bank only between Sept 01, 2009 and Nov 03, 2009.
4. The demand draft must be sent along with the cover note to "Chairman GATE, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur 208016 UP".

Please note that there is an option to make online payment as well.

amount of DD :800/- (Rs 400/- for SC/ST/PD) candidate

first of all get printed form of urs from computer then as been given to send to whom ur whole documents
and put ur form and ur demand draft together in envelope
close it and post it


but before putting ur demand draft in envelope write ur name and address at the back of demand draft

the last date for applying to gate is over,better luck next year

The demand draft sholud be sent along with the cover note that which is filled online and should be downloaded and both of them should be sent to the chairman,IIT Kanpur, Kanpur. But for your information the last date for sending the application forms for gate is over so better luck next year.

if you are applying online then you can very well pay online through credit card......it is very convenient and east also....although you an also give a dd of rs 800/-

Yes it is much easier to pay through credit or visa card.

And also there is less risk in it.

the date is over now...well dd is made in favour of CHAIRMAN IIT KANPUR payble at kanpur...its of 800 rs for general and 400 for SC/ST

last date of application is over.
dd shold be payable at Kanpur in the name of "Chairman GATE, IIT Kanpur". first get the dd then fill the application form online as you need to enter the dd details in the form.
take print out of the form and send it along with the dd.

demand draft process is easier than buying forms..its done by student when students apply onl9 application form.

you can gett tehe demand draft from the bank through which you want to make the payement fill it in favour of the exam and give it in the bank thats it

An Application on plain paper is to be addressed to the Registrar requesting to issue Admission Brochure is to be sent. The Application should clearly mention the name and the address of the applicant;
A Demand Draft of Rs.700/- (Rupees Seven Hundred only) in favor of Lingaya’s University, payable at New Delhi. The name, address and phone no. of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back side of the Demand Draft/Pay Order;
Two self addressed slips to be enclosed for communication.

U can take print out of ur filled application form and take demand draft and send to the respective GATE zone

hi friend before applying for online form you should make a DD in favour of "Chairman GATE, IIT Kanpur". paybale at kanpur of Rs 800 for general(And of RS 400 for sc/st).

for filling the online forms of gate 2010,first you have to make a demand draft of rs 800 from any of the bank which should be addressed to Chairman GATE, IIT Kanpur" payable at Kanpur.then you can go as per the rules and regulation of the exams.

you can send the demand draft at the office. You can make the fee payment either by the offline process or by the online process. For the offline process, you make your payment either by cash at the respective banks in each zone or by demand draft sent to the zonal GATE offices by speed or registered post.

For the online process, the candidates must obtain a Demand Draft, drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of Chairman of the corresponding zonal GATE Office, the website of which the candidate wishes to submit online Application.

dear friend, if you don't want to go bank for application form of GATE then it is suitable for you to fill up your form by online method, for this you have to send a DD of rs 1000 & send this DD along with your online application form, & send this to your zonal IIT.
