I have completed B.Sc Home Science department Food and Nutrition from Agriculture College. Am I eligible for UPSC Food Inspector examination? When is the upcoming examination going to be conducted?

Aspirants possesing any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply for UPSC All India Food Inspector Exam

- Graduates in medicine with one year training in food inspection.
- Bachelors degree in science stream with chemistry as a compulsory.
-Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Public Health/ Veterinary Science/Dairy Technology/Pharmacy / Food Technology

Candidates possesing any degree equivalent to those given above are eligible to apply.
UPSC has not declared no examination date yet for food inspector recruitment. You have to check UPSC website rapidly to know the advertisement of food inspector.

Age: Candidates aged between 18 and 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of Food Inspector.


Educational qualification: Candidates with completed graduation in medicine or have a bachelors degree in agriculture, pharmacy, food technology and dairy technology.You are eligible .

Exam is usually held in January month
