Mallikarjun Kharge has taken over as the Railway Minister of India after C. P. Joshi and Pawan Bansal. Pawan Bansal resigned from the post owing to allegations of corruption, bribery and serious irregularities on May 10, 2013.

Mapanna Mallikarjun Kharge is the current Railway minister of India.

Born: 21st July 1942.

He is an Indian Politician and Incumbent Union Minister of Railways of the Republic of India.He is a memeber of the 15th Lok Sabha of India.

He represents the Gulbarga constituency of Karanataka and is member of the Indian National Congress political party.

Mapanna Mallikarjun Kharge is the current railway minister of India. He became the railway minister on 17th June 2013. Hi is a member of parliament from Karnataka and a member of the Congress Party.

He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly till the year 2009.

He replaced C.P. Joshi who was made interim railway minister after resignation of Pawan Bansal in charges of bribery.
