who is the general of indian army? Please igive me the details for the same

hi,
the chief of army staff is the commander and usually the highest ranking officer of indian army. the position is abbreviated as COAS in army communicatin and cables. This post is generally held by a 4-star army officer in rank of general.


The current general of Indian Army is General Bikram Singh. He took the office on 31 may 2012, from his suceeding general V.K. Singh.

The office of general of army is based in South Block of the Central Secretariat at Raisina hill, New Delhi.

Appointments to the office are made by President of India.
