Whole information about becoming a CID Officer:-

About CID officer:-
The criminal investigation department is a crime detection agency under the Government of India.

You must posses following eligibility criteria to join CID:-
You can join CID after 12th or after completion graduation. After 12th, you are eligible for constable post in CID and after graduation, you are eligible for Sub Inspector post considered as CID officer.

The age criteria is 20 years and maximum age limit is 27 years with the relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years are OBC.

Physical requirements you need, minimum height 165cms and 76cms. If you want to join CID then you must appear for Indian Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission).

Detail about CID exam:-
Exam is divided into two papers follow mention :-

General Testc( paper 1) - Duration 2 years

English Language ( paper 2 ) - Duration 2 years

Eligibility to become Crime Investigation Department (CID) Officer:-

To join CID, a candidate must have done graduation in any stream from a recognized university. There are many universities in India that offer degrees in criminology and criminal justice at the graduation level which may be helpful to join CID.
