Will the common entrance exam which replaced West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam help the students studying in XII more?

yes,
the government has already announced that from next year onwards there will be an common entrance exam for all the medical colleges in India,
the decision has already been taken

common entrance exam will replace or not it will depend upon condition or the notification issued by the medical council of india

Well, if the Common medical entrance test is introduced from the next year at the undergraduate level, it will surely help Class XII students, especially those who study under the Central Board of Secondary Education. The students will not need to take different entrance tests (some of which, at least, require quite different preparations) and this will surely alleviate some burden. However, the move may not be well accepted by students of different State Boards (like the West Bengal Board).

I dont support the decision of the govt of a common entrance test because 1 day you are not well then you are gone. No 2nd chances.

I think it will take away the students from 12th studies and they wil be more inclined towards teh entrance test as its more important. Dont know what will be the outcome of teh exam but lets wait and see

Yes but not for this year, it will be conducted from next year.According to govt. notice the common medical entrance exam will be repace WBJEE.
So this is going to be very tough as the competition level will be increased.
So for better score prepare well.

yes,the government of india annouced that the common entrance exam is coducted in all colleges next year onwards.this exam will help for XII students.some institute like AIIMS - All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Entrance Exam., AFMC - Armed Forces Medical College Exam AFMC Entrance Exam...etc are conducting entrance exam.

till today there is no any such exam which can replace WBJEE medical entrance exam.

but , yes central goverement and medical council of india are thinking upon this issue. but it will take some time.

also there are some political problems related with them.it may take some more time in implementation.

yes from next year, students will not have to give different entrance exams for admission. there will be a single common entrance exam through which student will be able to take admission in any college.

But it is the decision taken by government & presently have no information regarding removal of WBJEE for medical seats.

The proposal has not yet been implemented but it is likely to be happen from next year.
Once this proposal is implemented then all the medical entrance exam governmental and private will go common. So there is no question of WBJEE(Medical), in that case.

The whole news story regarding this is as under.

New Delhi: A common entrance test for students aspiring to study medicine is likely to be introduced from the next year, the Medical Council of India (MCI) said on Tuesday.

"The common entrance test for undergraduate and postgraduate students will soon be a reality. The health minister has approved (it). We are awaiting the notification to be issued. Once the notification is issued it should be implemented for 2010-2011," MCI's Board of Governors' chief S.K. Sarin said.

The MCI has proposed a common entrance test (CET) for all medical colleges in the country. According to Sarin, it will cover the private as well as government medical colleges across the country.

"It will be convenient for the students who presently have to take 10 to 15 different entrance tests," he said.

Ranks will be given to students on the basis of this test which will be used for admission in colleges all across the country. The move is also being seen as an attempt to bring an end to the management quota seats and other unfair means practiced in giving admission in private medical colleges.

"This test will ensure transparency, every college will have to take the students on the basis of the ranks," he said.

However, the inclusion of All India Institute of Medical Sciences and other central medical colleges is not clear yet.

"These institutes are not under MCI. We have proposed their inclusion," Sarin added.

The health ministry proposal comes as the human resource development (HRD) ministry has proposed a common entrance test for medical as well as engineering.

Sarin, however, said that the modalities of the CET is yet to be finalized and the council is in dialogue with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and HRD ministry as well.

"Reducing the burden on students is the main concern and it can be done in coordination with the HRD ministry," he said.

there is a discussion to replace all the medical examination with a common medical entrance test in india. but it is not totally approved. may be it will approved in 2011. but do not worry it will be a very good strategy for medical study although the competition will be very tough. but only talented student will get chance to become a doctor and it also desirable. because the doctor will handle with human beings so they should be talented enough.

as you know both medical and engineering admission test are taken simultaneously.

so there is no way to replace WBJEE.

I am very disappointed about the common medical entrance examination. I think it is not right for the H.S. appearing students in West Bengal Council because we don't the CBSC Board's syllabus and not prepared,where as the common entrance(AIPMT) is going to be organised base on CBSC. So it is painful request to the President of the West Bengal Education Board to take a serious action about this condition as quick as possible. Otherwise, we will suffer maxmumly.

WBJEE should not be replaced by common entrance from 2012.If it happens then only the students of central board will be benifited.the students of state board will be out of the competition.To start CET at first the whole syllabus of all state boards should be changed according to the all INDIA level.Before taking a final descision central govt. should think about the future of the students of various state boards.After all the duty of the govt. is to give benifite to all the students.Not only the students of central board should be benifited but also the students of other boards should be benifited. PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE STUNDENTS.
