Hello Sir/Madam, I am planning to apply for the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II of 2020. But before that I would like to know about the age criteria, that is, what is the age limit for applying in this examination? Please let me know about the age criteria immediately.

UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II 2020:

>> Age Limit:

Born not earlier than 2nd July, 1997 and not later than 1st July, 2002 (For IMA and Indian Naval Academy)/ Born not earlier than 2nd July, 1997 and not later than 1st July, 2001 (For Air Force Academy)/ Born not earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 1st July, 2002 (For Officers’ Training Academy).

Age limit is different for different academy in defence-

Indian Military Academy

19 to 24 years

Air Force Academy

19 to 23 years

Indian Naval Academy

19 to 22 years

Officers Training Academy

19 to 25 years

Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)

19 to 25 years

CDS examination is conducted twice in a year.

Educational qualification - Bachelor degree ( final year candidates are eligible ).

Age limit - 20-24 years.

Examination is conducted in two stages - Written and SSB.

Last date to fill application is 25th August 2020.

CDS - Combined Defence Service examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted twice every year.

The age limit to appear for the examination is 20-24 years. There is no relaxation for reserved category.

Educational qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline.

So, if you possess the required qualification and age limit than eligible to appear for the examination.

Last date to fill the application forCDS II 2020 is 25th August 2020 till 18:00

The age limit for joining different wings of Combined Defense Services (CDS) through CDS II Examination 2020 are as below :-

* For Naval Academy/ Air Force Academy/ Indian Military Academy :- 20 years to 24 years as on 01.07.2021.

* For Officer's Training Academy :- 20 years to 25 years as on 01.07.2020.

--> Upper age limit is relaxed to 26 years in case of Air force Academy wing for candidates holding Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA.
