Dear friends, I am interested in applying for the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II of 2020. I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for applying in this examination. Can you please let me know about the eligibility criteria asap? Waiting for your response!

Eligibility to apply for UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II 2020 -

1. Candidate must be graduate for Indian Army.

2. Only technical (BTech) graduate can apply for NAVY.

3. For Air force candidate can be graduate or Btech graduate depending upon the post.

4. Candidate age should be in between 19 - 25 depend upon different academy.

CDS examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted twice in a year.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university , final year candidates are also eligible to appear in the examination.

Examination is conducted in two stages. Two stages are written and SSB.

Last date to fill the application is 25th August 2020.

The eligibility to apply for UPSC CDS examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit is 20-24 years.

Candidates in final year of bachelor degree course are eligible to appear in the examination.

The discipline in bachelor degree varies for Navy, Air Force and IMA/OTA.

Eligibility to apply for UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination II 2020:-

For IMA and OTA post the candidates need to have a degree of a recognised university or equivalent.

For Indian Naval Academy the candidates need to have a degree of Engineering from a recognised University / Institution.

For Air Force Academy the candidates need to have a degree of a recognised University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 12th level ) or bachelor of engineering.


Age Limit:-
For IMA and OTA post the candidates need be born not earlier than 2nd July, 1997 and not later than 1st July, 2002 for IMA and NIA.

Or
born not earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 1st July, 2002 for OTA

For Air Force Academy the candidates need to be between 20 to 24 years as on 1st July, 2021.

> Indian military academy
Bachelor's degree from a recognised University


> Air force academy
BE/ BTech from a recognised University degree from recognised University with physics and mathematics as subjects.

> Indian naval academy - BE/ BTech from a recognised university or equivalent.

> Officers training academy
Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent
