Age relaxation for Defense service person in state and central administrative is minimum 5 years and upto 10 years in various administrative service.

The age relaxation for defence service personnel in state and central administrative services is as follows:

Group A posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group A posts is relaxed by 5 years for defence service personnel.
Group B posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group B posts is relaxed by 3 years for defence service personnel.
Group C and Group D posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group C and Group D posts is relaxed by 2 years for defence service personnel.

The age relaxation is only applicable to posts that are in the same line or allied cadres as the service in which the defence service personnel was serving.

The age relaxation gives defence service personnel a better chance of getting a government job, which can provide them with a stable income and benefits.

The age relaxation for defence service personnel in state and central administrative services is as follows:-

Group A posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group A posts is relaxed by 5 years for defence service personnel. This means that a defence service personnel can apply for a Group A post even if he/she is above 32 years of age.

Group B posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group B posts is relaxed by 3 years for defence service personnel. This means that a defence service personnel can apply for a Group B post even if he/she is above 28 years of age.

Group C posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group C posts is relaxed by 2 years for defence service personnel. This means that a defence service personnel can apply for a Group C post even if he/she is above 26 years of age.

Group D posts: The upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group D posts is relaxed by 1 year for defence service personnel. This means that a defence service personnel can apply for a Group D post even if he/she is above 25 years of age.

Disabled defence service personnel: The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years for disabled defence service personnel.

Ex-servicemen who have been released on medical grounds: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for ex-servicemen who have been released on medical grounds.

The age relaxation for defence service personnel is applicable to both central and state government services.

The age relaxation for Defence service person in State and Central administrative services is as follows:

State Services:

* The age limit for direct recruitment to State Services is usually 30 years. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for Defence service personnel. This means that a Defence service personnel can apply for a State Service even if he/she is above 35 years of age.
* The age relaxation is also applicable for promotion to higher posts in State Services. For example, the age limit for promotion to the post of Deputy Secretary is usually 35 years. However, a Defence service personnel can be promoted to this post even if he/she is above 40 years of age.

Central Services:

* The age limit for direct recruitment to Central Services is usually 28 years. However, there is a relaxation of 3 years for Defence service personnel. This means that a Defence service personnel can apply for a Central Service even if he/she is above 31 years of age.
* The age relaxation is also applicable for promotion to higher posts in Central Services. For example, the age limit for promotion to the post of Under Secretary is usually 33 years. However, a Defence service personnel can be promoted to this post even if he/she is above 36 years of age.

In addition to the above, there are also some other relaxations available for Defence service personnel. For example, they are exempted from the requirement of passing the Civil Services Examination. They are also given preference in the matter of appointments and promotions.

Age relaxation for Defence service person in state and central administrative is upto :

##General - 10years of service.
##Sc/St - 15 years of service.
##Obc - 13 years of service.
