Can I become a DCP by clearing GPSC or clearing UPSC is compulsory?
Sir I am student of MSc sem 2. My dream is become deputy or district commissioner of police. If I passed gpsc then I will become dcp?
Otherwise upsc is compulsory for dcp ? |

Yes, you can become DCP after clearing the GPSC examination. The examination is conducted in three stages and after qualifying in all the stages eligible for the final selection.

Those who have bachelor's degree in with minimum aggregate score of 50% in final exam are eligible.
It must be from a recognised university. To become a DCP one needs to crack UPSC Civil Service exam . The exam is conducted in 3 stages Preliminary exam Main exam Interview The board judges the candidate on various parameters including mental and social traits. |
