Yes, you can apply for IPS entrance exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IPS exam. IPS exam doesn't require any percentage marks in graduation degree.

Age criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Yes, of course you are eligible for IPS entrance exam after completing Graduation. Graduation is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS entrance exam. You need qualify in the Civil Service Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The examination divided into three levels, Civil Service Aptitude Test, Main exam and Interview.

Eligibility Criteria:-

- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in any faculty from a recognized university approved by the UGC.
- The applicant must be between the age of 21 years to 30 years. Candidates belonging to SC / ST category have upper age limit maximum of 5 years. OBC candidates have maximum of three years as upper age limit

No, you cannot become IPS officer with your speech disorder as it was one of the physical requirement through which the candidates are selected.

The details for the medical standards to become IPS officer are given below :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

HEIGHT :

* Male candidates - 165 cms.

* Female candidates - 150 cms.

* Relaxation of 5cms in height is applicable for the SC/ ST candidates.

CHEST :

* Male candidates with minimum chest of 84 cms and expansion of 5 cms.

VISION :

* Candidate should not have inherent blindness, colour vision deficiency.

* Eye sight of 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye and 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

* Vision should be of stereoscopic.

EAR :

* Candidate should have normal ear cavity. The hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

NASAL :

* Candidate should not stammer while speaking.

If the candidate fail to satisfy any of these requirements, then he/ she will not be eligible for IPS.
