Can i become an IPS officer despite of being a stammer?
My height, weight and all requirements for IPS is matched but i am afraid about my speech disorder. Can i still become IPS officer?

No, you cannot become IPS officer with your speech disorder as it was one of the physical requirement through which the candidates are selected.
The details for the medical standards to become IPS officer are given below : PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : HEIGHT : * Male candidates - 165 cms. * Female candidates - 150 cms. * Relaxation of 5cms in height is applicable for the SC/ ST candidates. CHEST : * Male candidates with minimum chest of 84 cms and expansion of 5 cms. VISION : * Candidate should not have inherent blindness, colour vision deficiency. * Eye sight of 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye and 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. * Vision should be of stereoscopic. EAR : * Candidate should have normal ear cavity. The hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels. NASAL : * Candidate should not stammer while speaking. If the candidate fail to satisfy any of these requirements, then he/ she will not be eligible for IPS. |
