Yes, you are eligible for any central government jobs.

* The distance education is equally valid like regular mode of education.

* All distance learning degrees should awarded with recognition of Distance Education Council (DEC).

* Apart from educational qualifications, the candidate should also fulfill the age limit.

* The candidate should be citizen of India.

Well friend i should tell you that smu is a recognized university by dec(distance education council) and any degree taken through distance mode from this is fully valid.
As the degree taken from this university is fully valid hence this can be easily used to apply for any government job as per your qualification.
So you are eligible to apply for any government job.
