Yes, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) does conduct a General Aptitude Test (GAT) for Mechanical Engineering. The GAT is a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based test that is used to assess the candidate's aptitude in the following areas:
 • Quantitative Aptitude: This section tests the candidate's ability to solve problems involving numbers and mathematical concepts.

 • Verbal Ability: This section tests the candidate's ability to understand and interpret written material.

 • Logical Reasoning: This section tests the candidate's ability to think logically and solve problems.

 • General Knowledge: This section tests the candidate's knowledge of general topics such as current affairs, history, and geography.

The cutoff marks for each section of the GAT are not published by BEL. However, the overall cutoff marks for the GAT are usually around 60%.
The GAT is a compulsory part of the selection process for Mechanical Engineering positions at BEL. Candidates who do not score well in the GAT will not be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
