Eligibility to appear in IAS exam for a Physically Handicapped candidate?


sir
i am a BA student,
i want to become IAS officer
but i am physically handicapped,
can i give ias papper???????

Yes you are eligible for IAS Exam without any doubt if you fulfill other conditions like age and educational qualification. In fact physically handicapped candidates get reservation and there is age relaxation also available for you.

You are a BA Graduate and that is absolutely fine for IAS exam if you have done it from a recognized University.

The age limit for IAS exam is 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation available for reserved category candidates.

1. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation
2. OBC : 3 years relaxation
3. Physically Handicapped : 10 years relaxation

There you should start preparing for CSAT and don't worry about anything.

Yes, physically handicapped candidates are eligible for IAS exam.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. IAS exam is conducted one time in a year.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IAS exam.

Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates. Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

List of IAS main optional subjects:-

Agriculture, Management, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Anthropology, Mechanical Engineering, Botany,Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics,Commerce & Accountancy, Political, Science & International Relations, Economics, Psychology, Electrical Engineering , Public,Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian History, Zoology, Law.

List of IAS main optional literature Subjects:-

Arabic, Gujarati, Manipuri, Sanskrit, Assamese, Hindi, Nepali, Sindhi, Bengali, Kannada, Oriya, Tamil, Chinese, Kashmiri, Pali, Telugu, English, Konkani, Persian, Urdu, French, Marathi, Punjabi, German, Malayalam, Russian.
