I am a Graduate and completed B.A. in English Honours. I want to give WBCS exam. Please tell me can I capable to apply in WBCS exam?

Yes, you are eligible to apply for WBCS examination after completion of Graduation in B.A (English) course. Eligibility criteria required to appear in West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have obtained Graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university.

3. You must be able to read, write and speak Bengali Language.

4. You must be in between 21-32 years of age. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules as mentioned below :-
--> OBC :- 3 Years
--> SC/ST :- 5 Years

Eligibility Criteria of WBCS Examination :

--> You should complete graduation in any stream from the recognized university.

--> Need to have a command on " Bengali Language " .

--> Age must be in between these limits

* Minimum Age : 21 years

* Maximum Age : 32 years

--> Final year candidates of graduation can also eligible to apply for WBCS Exam.

--> There is a Age relaxation for the " Reserved candidates " as per the government rules.

Yes, you are eligible for WBCS exam.

WBCS stands for West Bengal Civil Service exam. This exam is conducted by Public Service Commission.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for WBCS exam. There is no marks criteria. Final year student are eligible for WBCS exam.

You must speak, read, write in Bengali language .

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 32 years
For OBC: 21 to 35 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 37 years

Selection process for WBCS exam are,

1)Preliminary Test
2)Mains Exam
3)Personal Interview.

You must have citizenship of India. The application fees for WBCS exam is 210/-

can i give WBCS Exam in English??

i mean can i get the questions in English instead of Bengali.. I can Read bengali but the problem is - I did my education in english medium and hence the terms in geography, history and pol science will be very very difficult to understand ..
