dear sir,
Its my dream to be a police inspector. I have given my 12th board exams this year.
so kindly tell me about the eligibility to be a police inspector.

You cannot apply for the post of police Sub-Inspector with intermediate. Because, candidates who have completed their degree are only eligible for the posts. After the completion of the degree, you can apply for the Sub-Inspector post.

ELIGIBILITY:-
1)Candidate must be a citizen of India.
2)Candidate must complete any degree from the recognized university
3)And the age limit is 30 years. And there will be age relaxation of 3 years for BC candidates and 5 years for SC and ST candidates.

SELECTION:-
At first, there will be physical tests for every candidate. The physical tests will include
i)5 km Running test
ii)Height and chest measurements
The candidate height should be at least 165 cm and chest should be between 181-185 cm.
After meeting all these requirements, the candidate will be allowed to appear for the written exam.
The written exam will be based on the following sections
1)English
2)General awareness
3)Reasoning
4)Numeric Ability
5)Logical Reasoning

Sir,

As above said degree is must for applying for the job. Please advise what percentage of marks or what class is minimum requirement.

The eligibility to become a Police Inspector are as under:-

-The candidate should have a citizenship of India.

-The minimum qualification required to apply for the post is Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

-The physical standards requirement to apply for the Police Inspector post are

*Height-

**For male candidate-165 cm.

**For female candidate-150 cm.

There is relaxation in height for hill men and tribals by 5 cm.

*Chest: 76 cms with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

* Vision: Eye-sight (with or without glasses)

**Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.

**Near vision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

-The selection process consists of written exam and physical test.

-The written exam is for

*General Knowledge

*General Awareness

*Reasoning Ability

*Maths.
