Please tell me about how to become assistance commissioner of state tax

You can apply for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination after completion of your graduation if you want to become an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax Department.

Graduate in any discipline is required for this examination and you have to appear for an exam which is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

The age limit for this examination is 18 to 27 years however age relaxation in upper age limit is provided to reserved category students as per government norms.

The selection will be based on merit and you have to appear for written exam and interview.

After completing your Graduation degree, you are eligible to become an Assistant Commissioner of State Tax. For that, you have to appear for the SSC CGL exam or UPSC exam and get a qualifying score to become an Assistant Commissioner of State Tax.

To become an Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, first of all, you need to clear the UPSC competitive examination of Indian Civil Services. You need to be an IRS officer to be a Commissioner of Income Tax. The Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC every year and the educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. The age limit should be within 21 to 30 years with some relaxation to other categories.

There are two main routes to become an Income Tax Officer in India, i.e.
• SSC CGL exam or
• UPSC exam.

SSC CGL exam is the main recruitment exam for Grade C and B inspectors for the Department of Income Tax which comes under the central government.

They need to have bachelor's degree in any discipline
Appear for SSC CGL exam with 18-32 years age limit.
They have to clear all the rounds of exam and interview.
Physical requirements like height, chest, eyesight, cycling have to be cleared by the candidate.
Once you clear exam and interview you become eligible for the post.
