In India, a bachelor's degree from an approved university is required in order to be eligible*as a deputy collector. After obtaining your degree, you must pass the Civil Services Examination (CSE), which is administered by the state's public service commission.

In order to become a deputy collector in India, you must first obtain a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. After completing your degree, you must then clear the Civil Services Examination (CSE), which is conducted by the Public Service Commission of the respective states.

Procedure to become Deputy Collector:

The detailed procedure to become a Deputy Director is given below,

Name of the Job Position- Deputy Collector

@ In order to become this Deputy Collector position, one must have completed Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or institute in any discipline.

@ Evng candidiates from B.E or B.Tech background are also eligible for becoming a Deputy Collector.

@ Since Diploma in Engineering is not a Graduate Course, I can say that you may not be eligible to apply for that recruitment.

@ Hence, I would suggest you to go with pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Engineering after completion of Diploma course to be eligible.

@ That particular state conducts the entrance examination called Civil Services Examination to be appointed as Deputy Collector. After clearing the rounds one by one having scored the merit Mark's, you can definitely become a Deputy Collector.
