I want to know if PTU degree is accepted under government sector or not. Please reply.

PTU stands for the Punjab Technical University. The university is valid for all the courses covered under undergraduate, post graduate studies etc. So, you can apply for the various government jobs entrance exams after completion of bachelor's degree from it.

You are eligible for the all government job exams which has minimum qualification of bachelor's degree like:

>>UPSC exams like Civil Services exam, Combined Defence Services exam, Indian Forest Services, CPF exam etc.

>>SSC Combined Graduate level exam.

>>Banking sector exam like IBPS, SBI entrance exams.

>>Intelligence Bureau exams.

>>Railway Recruitment board exams.

PTU - Punjab Technical University.

This university provides job oriented courses via Distance Learning mode. PTU is recognized by University of Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Punjab Technical University is also recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC)i.

Therefore, the candidate who completed their course in PTU is eligible for the state and central government jobs.

Yes, P.T.U. degree is accepted under government sector.
Degree from any recognised college or university is considered under government sector.
PTU university is affiliated with UGC and AICTE, so degree from PTU is considered under government sector.

PTU or Panjab Technical University is a recognized university and degree pursued from there is absolutely valid for any government job according to the qualification.

Therefore, don't worry about the university and be prepared for government job exams because selection will be based on performance in exam and interview.

mam i have completed my graduation in bsc medical lab. science in 2014.then i have to confirm that i am eligible for govt. secjob or not.because somebody are saying that this university has come in black list

I have BBA from ptu Jalandhar distance mode 2015 is I am capable for bank job

PTU degree is valid or not because some people says this university is not affiliated by UGC I'm studying in ITFT COLLEGE, New Chandigarh which is under PTU University

PTU is Punjab Technical University. The University is recognized by UGC and AICTE for regular technical and management programme. It was recognized by DEC for distance mode courses till 2012.

The joint committee of Distance Education Council(DEC), Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) and University Grant Commission(UGC) have barred the admission of candidates in distance programs. This committee declared that the PTU had approval for distance education till the academic year 2011-2012 and the recognition has not been renewed thus the distance education degree after 2012 is not valid to apply for any government jobs.

I have done my graduation from Punjab technical University through distance mode in 2011 I just want to know that I am applicable for Central govt job or not because their are lost or rumour about Punjab technical University

I was enrolled in the session 2012-15 by Distance learning from PTU. I completed by graduation from VCIC college of Pune, which was affiliated to PTU. This year when I applied for Masters in IGNOU. They rejected my form saying PTU has violated it's territorial Jurisdiction and have cheated you. But I got to know about this this year. I am preparing for govt services. So Is my Degree valid? Or I want an explanation from PTU if they have cheated me. Please Reply ASAP
