Sir, I have pass out the 12th standard and now I am doing my graduation but I want to become SDO officer how can I become this officer please give in detail.

To become an SDO you need to qualify Public Service Commission Exam (PSC) or State Civil Services Exam conducted by your State Government. You are eligible for the exam if have completed a bachelor’s degree and you are between the age limit of 21-30 years.

There are two different ways in which SDO is selected. Firstly, you are chosen from the department itself and promoted to the SDO officer. The other way is where you are being recruited through the exams.

Procedure to become SDO Officer:-

To become an SDO, you need to qualify Public Service Commission exam or Civil Service exam conducted by your state government .
You are eligible for exam if have completed a bachelor's degree and you are between the age limit of 21 to 30 years.

OBC category candidates have an age relaxation of 3 years.
Whereas SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years.

Procedure to become SDO Officer after graduation:-

To order to become SDO Officer, you need to qualify Public Service Commission exam or State Civil Service exam conducted by your state government. You are eligible for this exam, if have completed a bachelor's degree.

Age limit:-

Age limit is between 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation for OBC category - 3 years
SC/ST category candidates - 5 years.

Follow these steps to become an SDO Officer after graduation.

1. You need to complete your graduation in any subject from first division.

2. Appear in the UPSC or State Civil Service Exam.

3. You need to pass one of these two exams to become an SDO officer.

4. Age limit 21 to 30 years.

The candidate needs to pass his or her graduation with at least first division from any recognized university/institution. Then, they need to qualify Union Public Service Commission Exam or State Public Commission Exam to be eligible to become an SDO Officer.

Sub Divisional Magistrates exercise powers of Executive Magistrates. In this role they are responsible for operating preventive Sections of Code of Criminal Procedure.

To become SDO Officer (Sub Divisional Officer) a candidate need to qualify Public Service Commission examination or State Civil Services examination which is conducted by the State government. The educational qualification required is a candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university. The candidate age should be in-between 21 to 30 years.

One can become SDO after qualifying in the State PCS examination. The examination is conducted for recruitment of officers within the state.

The required minimum educational qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

So, you will become eligible to appear for the examination after completion of the bachelor degree. The age limit varies with examination. Examination is conducted in three stages for final recruitment.

SDO stands for Sub Divisional Officer, in some states it is known as Sub Divisional Magistrate. After training of IAS candidates, they become SDM in districts. Candidates also become SDO after clearing all stages of State Public Service Commission.

The eligibility criteria for Civil Services exam or SPSC is :

--- It is not possible to become a SDO officer after 12th standard, as the eligibility criteria to become a sub divisional officer is a bachelor's degree from a recognised University.
The recruitment will be done through the staff selection commission and you have to check your Staff Selection Commission website for more details regarding the vacancy and process of selection.
The selection will be done through the written test and interview and the competition for the staff selection commission is high so you have to prepare very well for the examination.
