Candidate must be a holder of Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Candidate must have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate. |

The basic eligibility requirement for the income tax exam that is SSC CGL for is that the candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university or Institute.
The minimum age limit of the candidate is 18 years and the maximum is 27 years and the upper age limit for eligibility for this income tax exam will be relaxed for 5 years for st and sc students and 3 years for OBC candidates. Minimum height for male is 157.5 cm and for female is 152 cm. Chest ( 81 cm full expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm) for male candidates. The physical test will include walking 1600 metre in 15 minute and cycling 8 km in 30 minutes for male. The physical test includes walking 1 km in 20 minute and cycling 3 km in 25 minutes. http://ssc.nic.in |

Qualification required to become a Deputy commissioner of Income Tax:-
To become an IPS officer, you will have to write Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year. UPSC conducts Civil Service exam to make recruitment in Indian police services. Eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam:- Candidate must be a citizen of India . A candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised University . The candidate age should be in between 21 to 32 years for general category. Upper age limit is relaxed for OBC by three years and five years for SC/ ST candidates. Selection process:- Preliminary examination Mains examination Personal interview and group discussion. |

---------------- You must have completed your Graduation degree from any recognized University or Institute to get eligible for this post. You have to appear for the UPSC- Civil Service Exam(CSE) and you have to crack this exam to become a deputy commissioner of Income-tax. |

The Staff Selection Commission SSC conducts every year an entrance exam for recruitment of candidates in income tax department.
This goes as a series of Written Oral Physical test. Age limit is 18-27 yrs Must be a graduate from recognised institution in any stream. They have to pass physical test of height , eyesight, chest etc Walking 1600 metres in 15 minutes. Cycling 8 km in 30 minutes. Selection process Candidates can apply through online /offline. Application can be downloaded from SSC website https://ssc.nic.in/ There are 4 routes in SSC CGL exam and candidate has to clear all of them. Tier |. MCQs Tier || MCQs Tier ||| descriptive paper in hindi and english Tier lV skill test. The cutoff for exam out of 700 is 578.75 for general category. |

Students need to appear for the SSC CGL which is also referred to as the income tax exam as it is also conducted for the recruitment of Income Tax officers in the Department of Income Tax under the Indian government. The minimum academic qualification for the SSC CGL exam is a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

There are two main routes to becoming an Income Tax Officer in India, i.e. SSC CGL exam or UPSC exam. SSC CGL exam is the main recruitment exam for Grade C and B inspectors for the Department of Income Tax which comes under the central government. The candidates must be at least 18 years and not more than 27 years at the time of applying for the exam. The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |

If you are a graduate below the age of 30years the first step is to apply for the combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to become an Income Tax Inspector.
In other words, SSC is an authorised body responsible for conducting SSC CGL exam for recruitment of the Income Tax Inspector because the department of Income Tax falls under the Central Government of India. The minimum education requirement to be recruited as Grade C and B inspector is to be a graduate in any discipline. If you want to become an Income Tax Officer after 12th , you will have to complete an undergraduate degree and then qualify the SSC CGL exam or the UPSC exam for Indian Revenue Services.
