I am planning to join Indian Coast Guard as a Yantrik. So i need the syllabus of the entrace exam for the post of Yantrik in Indian Coast Guard?

The selection procedure for the post of Indian Coast Guard are done through 3 stages :

* Preliminary examination.

* Final examination.

* PABT test for Pilots.

* Medical examination.

SYLLABUS :

PRELIMS :

* Mental Ability Test (MAT) which includes Current affairs, Budget and five year plans, sports, books, awards, honors, abbreviations, inventions, discoveries, great personalities, organizations, important days, Verbal, Non-verbal etc.

* Picture Perception and Discussion test.

FINALS :

* Thematic Apperception Test where a 12 slides are shown for 30 seconds and asks to write a story in 4 minutes.

* Word Association Test where a series of 60 words are shown one after another for 15 seconds each and asks to write a sentence or phrase on that word.

* Situation Reaction Test where 60 situations are given and asks to write their reactions by completing sentences.

* Self Description where the candidate should describe himself within 15 minutes.

Indian Coast Guard conducts exam for the recruitment of Yantrik every year.

Eligibility for the exam: The student must possess three year diploma degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics with at least 60 % marks. The relaxation will be given for reserved category students.

Syllabus of exam: Basically the exam consists of questions from their respective branch which has to be solved in 90 minutes. The written paper not only consists of technical question but also it contains some reasoning, English, Numerical ability.
