Indian Coast Guard has invited applications for the job profile of Yantrik. Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of Indian Coast Guard. Diploma holders in subjects of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or electronics engineering can apply. Selection of eligible candidate is done on the basis of an objective model written test. Selected candidates in this level should qualify physical fitness test, interview and medical examination to confirm final selection.

Eligibility Criteria for Yantrik in Indian Coast Guard

Unmarried male candidates (Indian nationals) are eligible to apply. Matriculation + diploma are the basic qualification required. Diploma course must of three year duration and should be obtained in any of the subjects mentioned below.

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering

The course must be completed with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks from any of the recognized educational institutions. 5% relaxation in marks will be given for sports person who are recognized at national level and wards of coast guard (who deceased while in service).

Other than basic educational requirements, candidates should satisfy age requirements also. Age of the candidate must fall in between 17 and 21 years. More precisely, eligible candidate must have born between 01 August 1991 and 31 July 1995. Upper age relaxation of 3 years is given for OBC candidates. SC/ST candidates can have 5 year age relaxation.

Selection Procedure for Yantrik in Indian Coast Guard

Selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of written test. Only those candidates who got short listed on the basis of diploma level marks will be considered for written test. Written test will be of objective model covering questions from the concerned subject of specialization. Those who qualified in the written test will have to undergo physical fitness test, interview and medical examination. Physical Fitness Test consists of the following

• 1.6 Km runs (to be completed in 7minutes)
• 20 squat ups
• 10 Pushups

Application Procedure for Yantrik in Indian Coast Guard

Applications can be submitted online through the website of Indian Coast Guard. Candidates should choose their preferred exam venue at the time of submitting applications. Upon submitting the filled up applications, a registration number will be generated, which must be kept safe for future reference. Hard copy of the submitted online applications must be sent to the address of the concerned recruitment centre. Date and time of the exam will be intimated through the e-mail ID and/or the mobile phone of the candidate.
