The criteria to become a Deputy Collector:-

To become Deputy Collector the Minimum qualification is graduation from a recognised University.

You have to appear CSAT exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

You have to apply IAS exam, after clearing IAS exam you will become a district collector.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation is given to reserved category students.

Selection process:-

Preliminary exam, Mains exam, Interview

You will become deputy collector after qualifying in state public service commission examination.

Generally the examination is conducted in three stages and the required minimum eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit varies with examination. So, you can go through the official notification for detail information about the eligibility criteria.

To be a District Collector often known as District Magistrate (DM), one is required to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC.

Further, for appearing in the same examination, the basic qualification required are as below :-

* You must be an Indian citizen.

* Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years. Further,there is provision of upper age limit relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the norms.

* You must have completed your graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Students can appear in the same examination while pursuing final year of their graduation degree course as well.

Qualification:-

Candidate must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university.

Nationality:-

citizen of India.

Age : 21 -- 30 years

For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

Number of Attempts:

For Normal Candidates : 4 Attempts

OBC - 7 times

For Sc/St : no limits.

To become a Deputy Collector, the candidate should have done a degree from any university in any discipline incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or any other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or any university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission, 1956.

The selection for this post is done through the preliminary exam and then main written exam and then Interview.

You have to appear in the the civil services examination that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

You can become Deputy Collector after qualifying in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC or after qualifying in state PSC.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. For CSE age limit is 21-32 years and relaxation for reserved category. Age limit varies with state for PCS.
