Quote:
IES stands for Indian Economics Service. This is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Those candidates who have completed Post graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics course from a recognized University are eligible for Indian Economics Service exam. Indian Economics Service exam doesn't require any percentage marks graduation or post graduation degree. Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates. |

There is no such minimum marks required for Indian Economics Service examination. However, you are required to complete Master Degree course in Economics without any pending backlog to be eligible for the Indian Economic Service. Being a Bachelor Degree student, you are ineligible for the Indian Economic Service exam. I suggest you to continue Master Degree in Economics after completing BA. Eligibility Criteria: - Those candidates who are interested to apply for IES exam, must have obtained a Master Degree in econometric, Business Economics, Applied Economics, Economics from a recognized university. - Candidates age must be between in between 21 and 30 years and upper age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students. For SC/ST candidates - 5 years. For OBC candidates - 3 years. Official website - www.upsc.gov.in/ |

To be eligible for the exam you need to have a B.E/ B. Tech. Student should be an Indian. In graduation you need to have a percentage minimum of 50% in the graduation degree.
