What is the joining process for Narcotics Officer?


Hi, my name is Akshaya Rajendran, I have completed my degree in B.sc., in Physical education and sports, i want to join in NARCOTICS DEPARTMENT, because i want to join in different field and i am interested in this kinds of job, i want to Join in Police department but would like to engage in detective line. I want to know the further steps for the joining process

The Narcotics Department hires qualified people through three methods: direct recruitment through the Ministry of Home Affairs, SSC CGL Exam, and UPSC Civil Services Exam.

The joining process for Narcotics Officer:-

To get into the Narcotics department, the candidate has to fullfill the following requirements:-

Eligibility Criteria:-

Candidate should be citizen of India .

Candidates age should not be less than 20 years.

Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

Candidate should possess bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised university or institution.

Candidate should secure at least 60% in the qualifying examination.

Selection procedure:-

The eligible candidates are first shortlisted on the basis of their education qualifications.

The selected candidates should then write the written proficiency test.

What is the joining process for Narcotics Officer?

1. Once the candidates clear their UG or PG, they can apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam or recruitment exams conducted by Narcotics Control Bureau or state public service commissions, In India, the Narcotics Control Bureau recruits candidates as a Narcotics Officer.

Those who have completed graduation from a recognised board with age not less than 20 years are eligible.
The candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
The candidate has to appear for UPSC State level services exam after obtaining the required qualification.
One can apply for UPSC Civil Service exam or recruitment exam conducted by NCB or State Public Service Commission.
After clearing the required exam , the candidate must clear other tests like drug test , polygraphy test, physical and psychological test .
The final selection is based on overall performance of candidate in all stages of selection process.

The age of candidates should not be less than 20 years.

The candidate should have a graduation degree in any discipline. Preferred courses are criminal justice or criminology.

The candidate must be physically and mentally fit.

The candidates will have to appear for UPSC/State Civil Services examinations after obtaining the required qualifications
