Hello all. I have been selected for BSNL JAO in recently held examinations.
My question is what is starting basic salary, gross and in hand pay of a JAO?

Also, what are other perks, e.g. HRA, travelling allowance, any other llowance, LFC etc. being offered by BSNL?

In some older posts here and some other sites, I have read starting basic as 20,500.00 SO does that mean we'll be in 16400-40500 scale, but starting at 20,500? Or is it like some other have interpreted that 20,500 is total salary (i.e. gross salary) excluding HRA and perks.

Please find below the Salary structure of BSNL JAO.

Basic: Rs. 16400/- ( 3% Increment every year)

D.A.- Basic × 128%

Transport allowance:- Rs.500/- to Rs.800/- as per city

H.R.A. - Basic × 10% or 20% or 30% as per city

Other allowance - Basic × 2%

E.P.F. - (Basic + D.A.) × 12%

Professional / Employment Tax - Rs. 200/-

Other deduction:- Rs. 100/-

Besides these, you will get travel allowance for office purposes and Medical allowance.

The BSNL JAO pay scale is in the range of 16,400 – 40,500 with initial Basic Pay being Rs 16,400.
