Why should an ST employee serving in plains pay Income tax?
Is it fair to make an ST (scheduled tribe) employee residing in hills get more salary (hill allowance) but is exempted from paying Income Tax there and to make the one serving in plains get NO hill allowance but to pay Income tax?

Re: Why should an ST employee serving in plains pay Income tax?
If you are single under the age of 65 and your yearly income is less than $ 12 550 , then you are exempt from paying tax.
And if you are married and filing jointly , with both spouses under 65 and income less than $ 12 550 Thus those who come under above category are exempt from paying tax, rest all have to pay tax on their income. |
